IMissYou Where are you and I’m so sorry
I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
This sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting everytime
Clarity - John Mayer
This song solidified my love for him. It was just done deal when I heard it.
I Think for me it was “Something’s Missing”
I met the perfect man on the train home. Not so much as met, as glanced shyly at every few minutes. He had dark short hair, a neat scruffy beard, and dark green eyes. He was playing a red nitendo DS with stickers of cartoon characters smacked across almost every bare surface. We both took the 4 to Union Sq. then the 6 to 28th st. All the while i imagined us laughing at corney jokes, and iwondered if he liked cream in his coffee or who his favorite author was. As we were about to get off, i smiled at him and he smiled back and then we went our seperate ways. But it was such a nice moment it made my day….
“You know how there’s that one song you listen to that gets you through everything? There’s that one song you have where you’re like ‘Man, my mom yelled at me today.’ or ’ My dad won’t buy me Warped Tour tickets.’ or ‘Man, that dude on the message board said I was ugly.’ or ‘Man, my friend won’t call me back, I got bad grades, I got an internal suspension, I got all these problems, man. I need that one song to get me through this.’ There’s that one song that you believe in and listen to and you go home and sing with all of your heart when you’re driving in the car. You’re driving down the expressway, you’re looking to the left and right, making sure nobody’s around you and you’re like ‘blah la la!’ singing into your microphone, cause you believe in that song. And that song believes in you. You know that one song? You know that song that I’m talking about; everybody’s got one.
And you know when that band comes to town? They come to New York and you’re like ‘Man, I can’t wait to go see my band, cause I’m gonna elbow my way all the way up to the barricade. I don’t care who’s around me. And I’m gonna get my way up there and I’m gonna look at the singer and he’s gonna be playing the guitar and he’s gonna be singing that song and he’s gonna look at me and I’m gonna look at him and have a moment! We’re gonna have a moment, man! And he’s gonna know exactly the way I feel. And I’m gonna know exactly the way he felt when he wrote that song and we’re gonna have a connection. I can’t wait till they come to town!’ And they come to town; they play your song and you’re like ‘THAT IS MY JAM! THAT’S MY JAM!’
And then the night’s over and you go home.”

Isn’t the pope supposed to advocate for god and not government?
